Our professional trusteeship services cut across Corporate, Public and Private Trust through our diverse products.

In addition, we offer:

a. Executorship Services

We act as Executors of a Will and ensure that the estate of the Testator is administered and distributed in accordance with the terms of the Will. In rendering our service as an executor, we will obtain probate from the relevant probate registry, arrange for payment of inheritance tax, provide for appropriate funeral arrangements in line with the directions given in the Will, settle all just debts (if any) and distribute the estate to the beneficiaries, to mention a few.

b. Trust Protector Services

As Trust Protectors, we ensure that the trustee performs his obligations under the trust. It is our duty to seek to ensure continuity of the trust. We will ensure fulfillment of the Settlor’s instructions, resolve disputes between trustees, or between beneficiaries and the trustee(s), handle the removal and re-appointment of Trustee where necessary.

c. Escrow Services

As providers of professional Escrow and custodial Services, we hold assets (usually money and securities) on behalf of parties involved in a transaction where there are pending obligations. We maintain secure custody of the assets until we receive appropriate instructions or until predetermined contractual obligations are fulfilled. In this way, the interests of all parties are protected and no one party is in a position to go contrary to the terms of the agreement without facing the already stated consequences.

d. Title Custody Services

We hold title documents in safe custody for clients. This includes titles to land, buildings and heavy machinery. The end goal of this service is ensuring the safety and preservation of the documents.

CORPORATE TRUST

a. Debenture

A debenture is a debt instrument issued by a lender (usually a company) in favor of the borrower, secured by the borrower’s assets. We act as Trustees in syndicated lending transactions (Debentures and Mortgage Debentures), protecting the interest of the lenders (Financial Institutions) in the borrowing company’s secured assets.

b. Bond Issuance Programs

A Bond Issuance Program is one of the many ways companies raise capital for their businesses by borrowing money from investors. Under a Bond Issuance Program, an investor gives a corporation (“the Issuer”) a specific amount for a specific period in exchange for periodic coupons, which the corporation will pay to the investor.

c. Employee Share Option Scheme

An Employee Share Option Scheme is an arrangement where employees are given shares in the company they work for, or the opportunity to buy shares in the company. Employees typically acquire shares through a share option plan. The opportunity to buy shares can be directly or through a loan from their employer.

As Trustees, we hold the shares in trust for the beneficiaries of an Employee Share Option Schemes. Our duty is to protect the interest of the employees, the beneficiaries of the scheme.

d. Private Equity Trust

Under a Private Equity transaction, institutions and accredited private investors invest funds in private projects through a vehicle (company). Through private equity, corporations not listed publicly, are able to raise funds for new business ventures/projects.

As Private Equity Trustees, we ensure that the interests of the investors are protected by making sure that all activities in the transaction are done in line with the provisions of the Trust Deed.

PUBLIC TRUST

a. Collective Investment Scheme

We act as Trustee to Collective Investment Schemes like Mutual Funds and Real Estate Investment Trusts. Our role as Trustees is to protect the interest of the Unitholders by exercising oversight functions in respect of the activities of Fund Managers, by ensuring their compliance with the Investment and Securities Act, the Rules and Regulations made pursuant thereto and the Trust Deed in particular.

b. Bond Issuance Programs

A charitable trust is a type of trust that promotes a purposes such as advancement of education, sports, public welfare, religion etc., and does not primarily benefit specific/named individuals. The purpose of a Charitable Trust is to benefit society as a whole or a sufficiently large section of the community. Charitable Trusts are exempt from income tax, except such income came from business dealings.

As Trustees, our role is to ensure that the assets of the Trust are distributed in accordance with the specifications of the Trust Deed. We invest the Trust funds in risk-free investments to ensure preservation and growth of the capital and to guarantee the sustainability of the Trust.

c. Government Bonds

A government bond or sovereign bond is used to raise funds for government expenditure. It is issued by a national or state government to investors upon a promise that the government will pay periodic interest payments called coupon payments and repay the face value on the maturity date.

As Trustees to government bonds, our role is to ensure that parties comply with the provisions of the Trust Deed. This means that we make certain that the government performs its obligations, particularly repaying coupons when due. In doing this, we safeguard the interest of the bondholders.

d. Endowment Trust

An Endowment Fund is an investment fund established by individuals or registered foundations. The capital is preserved from year to year while the income generated from investing the capital sum is applied towards the achievement of the purpose of the Fund. Endowment Funds are typically funded by donations.

As Trustees, our role is to ensure that the assets of the Trust are distributed in accordance with the specifications of the Trust Deed. We invest the Trust funds in risk-free investments to ensure preservation and growth of the capital and to guarantee the sustainability of the Trust.

PRIVATE TRUST

a. Living Trust

The Living Trust is a viable estate planning device through which an individual determines the distribution of his estate in his lifetime. Unlike Wills, the Living Trust takes effect in the lifetime of the Settlor.

As trustees, we administer the trust properties, and in case of liquid assets, invest the funds in the Trust to generate attractive returns having regard to implicit risk, market forces, government policies, and preferred asset allocation.

We distribute the estate as stipulated in the terms of the Trust Deed. We render an account of principal funds, earned income and disbursements made from the Trust and provide regular updates to the Settlor on status of the Trust.

b. Child Trust

The Child Trust is a product that allows a parent or guardian to preserve liquid assets towards securing the education and maintenance of a child/ward (“the Beneficiary”). The Settlor makes annual contributions to the Trust which are invested for the benefit of the Beneficiary. This product has a unique feature of a lifetime insurance policy. The Settlor pays an annual premium to keep the Trust insured so that in the event of the death or permanent incapacitation of the Settlor, the insurers will pay a lump sum (the Insured Sum) into the Trust.

The role of the Trustee is to manage the Trust assets and administer them to cater to the Beneficiary in line with the Settlor’s specific instructions contained in the trust agreement (“the Trust Deed”). When the Trust is terminated or the Beneficiary attains the age of 21 years; the Trustee transfers the Trust assets to the Beneficiary in accordance with the specifications of the Trust Deed.

The child trust is comprised of two levels which include (i) Premium and (ii) Regular. Customers are allowed to choose depending on what the customer can afford. The Premium requires an initial subscription of N1,000,000 with a yearly contribution of N400,000, while the Regular requires an initial subscription amount between N20,000, N30,000, or N50,000, with a yearly subscription not less than N120,000 payable monthly through a standing debit instruction.

c. Diaspora Trust

A Diaspora Trust is set up by an individual living in the diaspora seeking a trusted partner to help execute certain fixed or recurrent obligations locally. The individual’s obligations may involve the construction of a building project, catering for aged family members, maintenance of minors, payment of school fees, etc.

As Trustees, we provide safe custody of funds required to fulfill the client’s obligations in Nigeria. We take responsibility for disbursements to beneficiaries, as well as monitor milestones achieved in project construction, and give concrete and detailed feedback to the client.

as prudent trustees, we invest the funds put in trust in line with the objectives of the client as specified in the Trust Deed. This way, our clients can rest assured that their funds are in safe hands, managed by a team of experts in the way and manner they have already specified.

As Trustees, we hold the shares in trust for the beneficiaries of an Employee Share Option Schemes. Our duty is to protect the interest of the employees, the beneficiaries of the scheme.

Francis Ilenikhena

Executive Director, Investment One Pension Managers

Francis has over 16years industry experience; he started his career with CSL Stockbrokers Limited in Abuja where he worked as Head, Operations and later as Head of Marketing before he joined GTB Asset Management Limited now Investment One Financial Services Limited to set up the Abuja branch of the company.

Francis has executed various responsibilities in the Investment One Group before he became an Executive Director in Investment One Pension Managers Limited.

Kemi Abili

Managing Director, Private Banking and Trust

Kemi is a pioneer staff of Investment One Financial Services Group who has at various times, held Leadership roles in Customer Experience Management, Relationship Management, Sales (High Net Worth Individuals), Retail Business Development and Trusteeship. She has attended several leadership and performance enhancement courses obtaining a vast array of skills, cutting across Customer Service and Business Development. Kemi has vast experience from telecommunications industry having started her career with Multi-Links Telecomm Nigeria Limited, and also Econet Wireless Nigeria (now Airtel) as pioneer staff. She currently oversees the Group Private Banking Division. Kemi has a B.Sc. in Political Science and a Diploma in Law, both from the Ogun State ( Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State)

Tope Omojokun

Managing Director, Investment One Funds Management

Mrs. Omojokun oversees the mutual funds and retail investment business of the company. She is a seasoned professional with over 14 years’ experience across Commercial and Corporate Banking, Wealth and Investment Management. She joined the Investment One Group from Asset and Resource Management Company Limited (ARM). Before joining ARM, she worked with E.oN (UK) Limited as a Credit specialist and Intercontinental Bank Plc as a Treasury officer.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, MA (Management) from the University of Nottingham and a Financial Planning certificate from Florida State University (Academic & Professional Program Services).

Ezekiel Oluyori

Managing Director, Investment one Stockbrokers Int’l

Mr. Oluyori oversees the stockbroking business of the company.

He is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS).

He started his career as an Audit Trainee with Ibrahim Yusuf & Co a firm of Chartered Accountant and Financial Consultant. He has a stint at Criss Cross Organization as an Administrative Officer. He joined National Orthopaedic Hospital Management Board as an Administrative Officer. He joined CSL Stockbrokers Limited and later joined INVESTMENT ONE Financial Services Limited (then GTB Asset Management Limited). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from University of Ilorin and an MBA from Bayero University Kano.

Ore Sofekun

Managing Director, Investment One Vencap

Ms. Sofekun oversees the Venture Capital And Private Equity Business.

She worked as a Management Consultant with Diamond Management and Technology Consultants, Chicago, IL, USA and upon returning to Nigeria was the Chief Operating Officer for Cardinal Stone Partners; a position she held until she joined Investment One.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering (First Class Honours). She also holds Masters and Doctorate degrees in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, IA, USA and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, PA, USA.

Azubuike Okonkwo

Azubuike Okonkwo is the Managing Director of Investment One Pension Managers, a subsidiary of Investment One Financial Services Limited.

He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) and also holds an Executive MBA from IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain. He has attended several local and international trainings, seminars and workshops.

He started his career as an Audit and Business Advisory Services Trainee at Price Waterhouse Coopers. He thereafter joined Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, where he worked in several departments of the Bank including Financial Control and Relationship Management departments. He rose to become Group Head of the Financial Control Unit and subsequently Group Head of Retail Unit Lagos Island. He resigned from the Bank and joined Investment One Financial Services Limited.

Gbemi Adelekan

Mrs. Adelekan oversees the Company’s corporate functions. In the course of her career she worked with the British Broadcasting Corporation, GTBank and Chapel Hill Denham Management. Mrs. Adelekan until 2015 administered the financial control and treasury functions at FBN Capital Limited, after which she joined Investment One Financial Services Limited as Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO).

She holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Global Management Accountants, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants England & Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Nigeria.

Obinna Nwosu

Mr. Obinna Nwosu, until April 2017 was the Group Deputy Managing Director of Access Bank Plc. during which period he directed the banks’s Technology Initiatives; Branch Services/Retail Operations; as well as Mobile Channel Services. Prior to joining Access Bank, Mr. Nwosu held very senior positions with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. over a period of 8 years.

He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy (Hons) and an MBA from University of Nigeria. His banking experience spans operations, general resource management, credit, and marketing. His wealth of experience has over time earned him appointments on the board of various companies.

Tokunbo Talabi

Mr. Tokunbo Talabi is the President/Chief Executive Officer of Superflux Group of companies (a security printing company) and several other companies. He studied at the Obafemi Awolowo University where he obtained a B. Sc in Medical Rehabilitation. He also holds an MBA from the University of Lagos.

He joined Guaranty Trust Bank Plc as a pioneer staff in 1990. At GTBank, Mr. Talabi served in various capacities from Deputy Manager, Corporate Support Services to Senior Manager, Corporate Banking and later as Group Head, Retail Delivery where he was responsible for the management of all branch operations and administration nationwide for the bank. He left the banking industry in 1998 to establish Superflux International Limited, the foremost security printing firm in Nigeria. He has proven ability to develop and strengthen management teams while maximizing business profitability and efficiency.

Joke Chukwumah

Mrs. Joke Chukwumah is the Managing Director of Lucent Limited ( A Trading Company) and School Director of Children’s International School, Lekki. She is also a member of Board of Directors of several other companies.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (Hons) from Kingston Polytechnic, Kingston, Surrey, England and a Master of Science in International Economics & Banking from University of Wales, Cardiff. Her career exposure spans Continental Merchant Bank, Chartered Bank and Guaranty Trust Bank Plc from where she left to set up Lucent Limited. Her work experience covers credit, marketing, consumer & corporate banking.

Egbert Imomoh

Chairman

Egbert Imomoh is former Chairman of both Afren Energy Resources Nigeria Limited and Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.

He trained as a Mechanical and Petroleum Engineer. He possesses over three decades’ experience with the Shell Group of Companies. He was until recently President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) worldwide after serving on its board as its Regional Director for Africa.

Ademola Aofolaju

Managing Director, Investment One Capital Management

Ademola currently serves as the Managing Director, Capital Management at Investment One Financial Services Limited.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. His industry experience, spanning over 16 years, cuts across Commercial and Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance and Investment Management.

Ademola joined the Investment One Group from Kakawa Asset Management Limited (KAML). At KAML, he was Head, Investment Management & Client Counsel, where he provided strategic direction for the company’s investment and business development initiatives. Before joining KAML, he worked with BGL Asset Management Limited, where he was Head of the Specialty Asset Management Desk. He pioneered the organization’s Real Estate initiatives, with the development of BGL’s private real estate fund and coordinated BGL’s Philanthropy Advisory and Endowment Services.

Gbemi Adelekan

Group Chief Operating Officer

Gbemi oversees the group corporate functions.

She has worked for several companies including the British Broadcasting Corporation, Guaranty Trust Bank and Chapel Hill Denham Management. Gbemi oversaw the group financial control and was responsible for the groups’ treasury activities at FBN Capital Limited from where she joined Investment One Financial Services Limited.

Gbemi holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Global Management Accountants, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants England & Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Nigeria.

Azubuike oversees the Pensions Administration business of Investment One Pension Managers Limited.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) and also holds an Executive MBA from IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain. He has attended several local and international trainings, seminars and workshops.

Nicholas Nyamali

Group Managing Director

Nicholas Nyamali is the Group Managing Director of Investment One Financial Services Limited. He holds two Masters’ Degrees in Law and Economics as well as an MBA from the London Business School.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK and a member of the Institute of Securities & Investment, UK. Nicholas started his career as a Barrister & Solicitor with Haruna & Co. He then worked with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) before joining GTBank Plc, working at various times in the legal, corporate banking and corporate finance teams. He thereafter worked with Barclays Capital, London and Mckinsey & Co, London before returning to Nigeria to set up Investment One Financial Services Limited (then GTB Asset Management Limited, a former subsidiary of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.).
